So good, we buy them for our mothers
Convenient AND Superior
In addition to the convenience, our filters are just better than the competition. Why, you ask?
Superior Frame. Other residential air filters – especially those you buy at your big box store – are constructed with a wimpy cardboard frame. Basically, they’re flimsy and more likely to get stuck in your system as they get dirty. Ever pulled a dirty filter out of your furnace only to have to fight to get it out? What a joke. Won’t happen with us; we take our filters seriously.
Uniform Pleat Spacing. Next time you see a filter in the store, check out the flimsiness of their pleats. They’re as delicate as toilet paper. You want a sturdy, strong, well-spaced filter to maximize airflow and the amount of dust it holds. Again: we are serious about our filters. Clean air is no joking matter.
Made In America. That’s right. Our filters our homegrown right here in the USofA. We handpick every single one of them during the biannual harvest. American made; American quality.

A Word About Filter Ratings
Some manufacturers have used deceptive marketing practices and fancy-shmancy Ivy League terminology to create their own rating systems. Not us. Every furnace filter in the world has a MERV rating, or Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. This is the official standard for measuring the effectiveness of an air filter, making it easy to compare across different brands.
MERV ratings range from 1 to 16. A higher number indicates a more efficient and effective filter. No gimmicks. We’ve written about this at greater length here, and Wikipedia is a solid reference if you’re looking for some light bedtime reading.
So…what’s it to you? Well, those cheap blue fiberglass filters you see at the hardware store have a MERV rating between 1 and 4, which may or may not prevent a small child from getting lost in the ducts. As filter media technology has improved, it’s become standard practice to use a MERV 8, 11, or 13 pleated filter in your home, and our Basic, Standard, and Ultimate offerings reflect that. See our selection chart above for the types of particles filtered at each level.
So if all MERV 8 filters perform equivalently to each other, what’s the difference? Quality, my friend. Quality. FilterSnap filters are made in the USA with premium construction materials, and they arrive at your door when you need them.
